Fundación Amigos del Niño con Cáncer

Who are we?

We are a non-profit organization that was born in August 1984 from concerned parents and doctors of children with cancer from “Hospital de Niños J.M. de Los Ríos” in Caracas with the support of some benefactors in order to offer integral assistance to children with cancer between 0 to 18 years, help to improve their quality of life, and lend needy families a friendly hand.

Since then, we have assisted more than 6,000 children with cancer referred from some hospitals such as J. M. de los Ríos, Oncológico Luis Razetti, Universitario de Caracas, Magallanes de Catia, Pediátrico Elías Toro, Domingo Luciani, Pérez Carreño, Central de Valencia, Central de Maracay, San Juan de Los Morros, among others.

Financial and income sources to cover the programs and objectives come from private and public sectors as well as individuals. The resources have been distributed the following areas:

Patient Care, Personnel Formation, Scientific Events, Hospital Supplies, Albergue construction, and others.

During these 33 years we have received financial support from national and international sources and we have managed the accountability to the specific needs or requirements of the funding institution, which includes detailed reports on the expenses executed in each undertaken project.

During this time, we have tended more than 7,000 children with cancer with a referral from J. M. de los Ríos, Oncológico Luis Razetti, Universitario de Caracas, Magallanes de Catia, Pediátrico Elías Toro, Domingo Luciani, Pérez Carreño, Central de Valencia, Central de Maracay, San Juan de Los Morros, among others.
